q9450+p5k or e8400+maximus formula

first i decided to buy e8400 with maximus and hd4850.
but now i'm thinking about another choice with almost same price q9450 with p5k and hd4850.
which way i must go?

Maximus would be better than P5K, but I'd pick up Rampage instead.

don't buy a POS motherboard to put a gold nugget CPU on it. You'll regret it in time. I have a Q6600 running fine on a Rampage , waiting for the prices of Q9450 to drop. I bought the Rampage thinking ATI might have a hit with the 48xx and then I can drop a crossfire in there. Right now I'm fine with a 512 - 8800GT. Just as a hint, the local PC store had 4 Rampage boards on stock before ATI released the 48xx. 2 days after all of them were gone
