667 vs 800 mhz

Is there much difference? If not is 667mhz adequate for moderate gaming and video editing or will I need a faster speed?

What cpu are you using? 667mhz is most likely adequate if you're not overclocking.

The difference in performance is not large at all, the main worry is for overclocking. If your not overclocking I always suggest that there are better upgrades to make that will make a more measurable difference.

The motherboard is a 2.66ghz intel core 2 duo.

The speed difference is really only beneficial when overclocking. Are you interested in overclocking?
