So this is what I just ordered from Newegg.com.

CPU: $189.99

CD/DVD Rom: $29.99
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6827151154

Case: $149.99
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6811129025

HardDrive: $94.99
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] WD6400AAKS

CPU Cooler: $36.99
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6835233003

CPU Clips: $6.99
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6835233019

GPU: $194.99
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6814121253

Motherboard: $149.99
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6813131299

PSU: $119.99

Memory: $86.50

So all in subtracting mail in rebates and combo deals this build is $998.33.

I want to use this machine for gaming for World in Conflict, Call of Duty 4, and Crysis. I will be playing on a LCD Samsung 906bw monitor with 1440 x 900 resolution.

I do not care that much about video quality. I care more about FPS. I will overclock and might at some point upgrade the GPU. I realize that this mobo is ill equipped for crossfiring so if I do upgrade my GPU it will probably be by getting a new and better GPU.

So considering my needs what do you think of this build for the price?
Is there anything I should return and get something better of?
Will this work for what I want it to?

Thanks for any help you can.

The build looks good. If you want to go crossfire in the future, some may tell you that the dual x8 will bottleneck you and recommend and X48.

The components look nice. Well done. Good luck.

I got the same CPU and CPU cooler.

However,I went with the Asus P5E for the best PCI-E slot options (X38 chipset).

My E8400 is at 3.8 ghz,nice temps,tried 4.0 and kept failing Prime95

Nice build.

Excellent cooler.

Make sure to take advantage of the GPU + motherboard combo.

You won't be able to Crossfire on that board above 1920x1200 if that is a concern look at x38/x48 options. If you don't plan to Xfire (you don't need to at your resolution right now) it is a nonissue.
