this may have been posted before, if so i'm sorry to bring it up again but i
did not find it.
after i update (automatically) i keep getting the need to reboot
notification. sometimes its just not practical to reboot at that moment and
that damn message keeps popping up at the most inopportune time. how do i
disable it, or can you?
thanks

When you get the update "reboot" pop-ups, that means that the update
will not be in effect until you reboot, and until you reboot, you'll just
have to
"grin and bear" it. Update pop-ups can be eliminated, but that would defeat
the entire purpose of having updates and protect your property/PC.

if there is a way to turn off the update popup i would really like to know
whjat it is. i will take the chance that some "security issue fix" or
another update will cause me grief. i will turn my computer off when i'm
done with my downloading/game playing. having that popup spring up every
10-15 minutes is a real bother.
guess another workaround would be turn off automatic updater and manually
check for them when i have nothing better to do. thanks Byte for your input
