Different brand memory on same board Tags: Memory DDR2 Last response: September 24, 2008 1:32 AM in Memory Share hitraj 47 September 23, 2008 11:13:58 PM Hey guys. I am considering upgrading my PC. I already have 2GB (2x1GB) DDR2 800 from Patriot. I am going to buy another 2GB (2x1GB) DDR2 800... Except the brand will be OCZ. Will I have any problems doing this? Should I just get 4GB for the upgrade/new PC (I'm getting a new mobo as well) or is it OK to mix and match brands? It would probably be worth it to upgrade to a 4gb kit. hitraj 47 September 24, 2008 1:32:54 AM Alright, I've decided on buying 4GB (2x2GB) instead of adding another 2. Managed to get a good combo deal on newegg.com Thanks for the input! Can't find your answer ? Ask !
