I have a kvm swith with a view sonic vga 1930 as the output and a gateway pc as the input.

On my desktop properties i have extend my windows desktop to this monitor displayed.

The problems:
1) the desktop icons are invisible on the secondary display.
2) the secondary display is just a subset of the primary screen with no scrolling permited.

Any suggestions?

Are you running a KVM on ONE computer? There is no way to solve the problem there

 

Or is it 2? if its 2

 

Use the KVM on the primary display, windows can use either, just right click it and select primary

 

How are you extending the desktop? windows, video cards app?
