Gigabite 81865gvmk and SATA II compatibility

Is the WesternDigital 6400AAKS Serial ATA HDD compatible with Gigabite 81865gvmk motherboard.
This motherboard is SATA compatible with 2 sata ports.But since this particular HDD is Sata 3gb/s (sata II) will this work,or will there need to be some jumper solution to run it in Sata 1.5 (sata 1 mode).There is no mention of this motherboard supporting Sata 3gb/s.

So will it work?

This probably depends on what version of windows you'll be using. My new boards have no sata II driver for windows 2k pro, so I had to make a direct copy off another drive to use it on the newer p45 board. Fortunately, I got no blue screens and was able to load all the motherboard drivers. Vista should have no issues finding a suitable driver. Many sata II drives come with a jumper to force the drive to use sata I on older boards.
