Hi,

Basically my PC recently stopped being able to access the internet over my wireless network, even though it seems to connect to the actual network fine.

I had tried to install a Cisco VPN client from work, which is around when the problems started so I'm guessing that install (subsequently uninstalled) has somehow messed up some settings.

It says the network is connected, however I cannot get any internet pages. Which is really odd as I'm being given an ipaddress and ipconfig returns the correct defualt gateway. My laptop, using the same dongle, can connect fine. I've compared settings for the connections and the browsers, I'm now at the point of comparing drivers etc but these are going to be different anyway I think.

I've stopped the firewall I use (Comodo) even though it's running on the laptop, still no luck.

I have tried IE and Firefox, with pretty much every setting ever and yes tried changing IE to lower security.

I've connected to the route rfrom the laptop and looked at the connected devices list, the PC is listed and has a ip address and a MAC address. Interestingly I can now ping the router from the PC.

Have tried flushdns, renew ip address etc. Can also ping www.sony.com for example. However, when pinging either router or web address the first attempt always fails, then the next three work. Have tried with -t and the connection stays ok.

Pretty much out of ideas, would really appreciate any suggestions!
