would it matter if i put a evga card on my xfx board?

hey, i was just wondering if anyone could help me
Im thinking about purchasing a gtx 260 core from evga because i heard they have a lifetime warranty and make better cards overall, but i have a xfx 790i motherboard. Would it be more smart to get an xfx graphics card or does it not matter?
