hi! i have a question... i just order a mobo, its the asus rampage... but i was looking at the specs in the Maximus II and well, im a bit confused... Maximus II has memory support of 1200Mhz, will the OCZ Reaper PC2-8500 (1066Mhz) work on the maximus II, or do i need the OCZ Reaper PC2-9600 (1200Mhz)?

what mobo will you recommend??

Hello and welcome to the forums mate :)

Well when it says ot supports memory of 1200MHZ,it doesnt mean it only works with 1200MHZ RAMs,it works with lower ones too like DDR2 800,and my vote goes with DDR2 800 RAM,get a DDR2 800 RAM CL4 and it will OC pretty well.

Got a question for you Maz:

I have a Q9550 (2.83), DDR 3 1600 and mobo clock multipliers of 5, 6, 7, 8.5. My mobo has a FSB of up to 1600 (o.c.) what would be the best settings to use to get the most out of my CPU/RAM? I think the CPU FSB is 400 or something...
