After the pc is built, what should be ran first? Windows install or motherboard driver cd?

I ask this because I keep getting bsod during Vista Ultimate 64 install. I did not run the motherboard cd first. Should I have? This is my first build and I thought OS was supposed to be installed first.

or memtest disk, windows install disc and then motherboard disk for new build. It can troubleshoot faulty memories right from the beginning, saving you a lot of trouble.

Yeah, Windows first is what I thought. But, just thought I'd ask since it isn't really working for me.

Your ram probably needs set manually to avoid more bluescreens.

Vista install should work from the Vista CD. It has basic drivers which should work in your mobo. After Vista installs, you might be better to pull the latest drivers off the internet .

Since you have a problem, I would try to run Memtest first.
