Ive got an antec 300 case with a ASUS P5N-D

and currently using an old zalman like this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6835118115

im planning on buying a buncha these fans for the case http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6835185057

i need a good heatsink suggestion, im looking for a tower heatsink, because my current heatsink sucks at removing heat, it actually raises the temp of my northbridge.

Xigmatek HDT S-1283 is currently one of the best out there and its not too expensive either.

EDIT: Not sure if it will fit in that case though you might have too look at the 90mm fan tower units, something like an Artic Freezer 7 Pro

ive only seen one review on newegg that says it fit in an antec 900 and 300, found a buncha people asking if it will fit in a 300, another person saying it barely fits in his 900.... so risky choice, but i would definitly prefer the 120 fan.

thanks for the advice, i will likely be sticking with the HSF you reccomended

There are a few others like the Arctic Freezer that are lower profile coolers.

Also, Zalman and Thermaltake make some large fan, lower profile coolers that work pretty well.
