I just got a Zalman GV1000 and havent installed it yet. Ive read that the fan speed must be manually adjusted using the FanMate2. Is it possible to connect the cooler to my computer so that it automatically adjusts the fan speed?

I have my VF1000 connected to my mobos 3pin header but have never tried controlling the fan speed in the bios. I never felt is was loud enough for me to want to lower the fan speed.

You can use the bios to control the fan RPM's by setting temps triggers and RPM speeds for different temps your CPU reports to the Mobo. There probably is some info in your Mobo book and you should easily find lots of info with Google.

Ditto, Same Same

Its not loud at all and I also let my VF1000 run at full speed by just plugging into a constant voltage M/B header.
