Hello, first time post, if this is the wrong section please mods move it.

Ok, so i was wondering if I could overclock my system (mainly cpu) 'safely' and what speeds I could expect.

system info is in my sig.

My cpu idle temps are :core 1:30, core 2:29 degress with stock cooling

Gpu is 46 degress

Thanks!

Yes, you could overclock it safely - but that mostly depends on your approach to it.
Read that guide - http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/forum-11-180.html it will give you all the information you need in order not to fry anything at first attempt :)

As for speeds: i guess 2.8ghz is easily within reach, anything more will really depend on:
1) quality of your ram(as anything above FSB 400mhz will push it beyond its spec) 2) your luck with the CPU itself
3) amount of voltage youre willing to pump into the CPU
