Current System Specs:

ASUS A8N-VM s939 motherboard
AMD X2-3800+
2 Gig (2x1GB) DDR-400 RAM
ATI All-In-Wonder X1800XL
MS Windows Vista Ultimate SP1

I recently installed Vista on this system primarily to get to know it a bit. I knew full well that the TV/Recording capabilities of the AIW X1800XL card would not work with Vista installed. The original plan was to replace the card with the new AIW-HD when they become available later this month. Now I'm rethinking that plan.

The new AIW-HD cards are going to cost ~ $200. Couldn't I just get a TV Wonder 650 Combo PCIe HDTV Tuner PVR w/Remote for ~ $120 and have the same capabilities?

This system is NOT for gaming at all!

What would you do?
1) Pair the existing X1800XL with the TV Wonder 650 (or something similar).
2) Replace the existing X1800XL with the All-In-Wonder HD when it's released.

Pair it with a TV card.

If you buy a separate TV card you can upgrade it independently of the video card eventually.
