Hello,

Control Panel >Display Properties>[Tab] Desktop>Background: beneath, used to be Microsoft's
default list of Wallpaper choices.

But recently, ALL of My Pictures were somehow Sent there.

How can I correct this please(?) as I don't wish to have all of My personal pictures listed as a Wallpaper choice.

Thanks very much!

Try this:

Start>Run>Regedit

Navigate to this key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion

Look for this entry: WallPaperDir in the right pane,

Right-click it, select "Modify" and enter this: %SystemRoot%\Web\Wallpaper

Restart computer.

Hi,

I'd looked there before - and still cannot locate Wallpaper in Registry.

Could You pls. be more specific as to it's possible location, pls.

Also, why include 'Web' when I just want WINXP default images?

Thank You

That was my first thought also, but then it seemed if the wallpaper was pointed to the wrong folder it should be fixed. The windows/web/wallpaper is the default windows wallpaper folder.

Good to hear you made it work the way you like. :)
