Setup bios after new mothr board installed

Hello,
i just installed a new motherboard on my gateway GT4024, i cannot boot from hardisk or o/s system recovery cd

regards and thx for yor time ... James Felton

ps i have the correct mother board,2 gb ram and a 250 gb hard drive and replaced all fans
including one on top of heat
sink ,how much thermal grase to i apply on top of cpu and heatsink, once again thx for your time

Hello and welcome to Tom's. Did anything happen when you fired up for the first time? Did you see a BIOS screen or any kind of life on the monitor at all?

As to thermal grease, I always apply a good dollop in the middle and let the weight of the heatsink spread it around.
