I tried doing a search but kept getting a "no items found" response, which is surprising. My 8800gt Alpha Dog Edition idles at about 50C - 53C and I'm wondering if that is too warm. Searches on the Internet seem to indicate that GPUs typically run hotter than CPUs but I just want to get confirmation on what ranges of temperature I should look at for this card (idle and under load). When i opened RivaTuner it showed my fan speed at 30% at these temperatures. I'm a little concerned about bumping it to 100% out of fear it will cause the fan to wear out faster. Any advice on temps and recommendations for fan speed? Thanks.

My 8800GT in a quiet system idles at 52-58 and runs under load at 72-82
(depends on room temps) the 82 was on a very hot day before i installed the air conditioner for the summer. The 8800GT is designed to run hot, so it really shouldn't be a problem for you. Just think how hot a 4850 would be in your system.
