WAN Miniport (SSTP) Problem

Hello,
The wireless for my compaq presario f700 is no longer functioning. When I go to the device manager the WAN Miniport has a yellow caution triangle and when I click on it I get a message saying that the device is not working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required (Code 31). I have since hooked the computer up to a an ethernet connection and updated the drivers. I then got a message saying the best driver software is already installed and the driver for the device is up to date. But the wireless still does not work and the yellow caution triangle is still over the WAN Miniport. Does this sound like a software or hardware problem? Is it fixable?

Yes, and I opened up the computer to make sure the mechanical switch was functioning. I am tempted to buy a USB wifi

I had same problem on Sony vaio and finally I found one windows update that could make confilict by wireless driver but windows couldn't find and know that
I restore before that update and when I definite about that I returned and uninstalling. Now I enjoying from wireless connections.
