I see $270.00 after a mir.
Would have been a hell of a deal if it was $245.
I just bought a 4850 this weekend and had that GTX 260 been $245 to my door I probably would have gone with that.
Probably more than that. It can draw 75W from the PCI-E slot, plus 75 from each 6 pin power connector. If it was 150 watts or less, it wouldn't need a pair of 6 pin connectors for power.

It looks like there is an old $30 rebate for all evga cards. Wonder if you could still use it, even though it isn't offically listed in the product view.
I wish people would stop basing what's better on old reviews based on old prices. 3/4's of those reviews say that performace is a trade-off, and the only reason it was reccommened over the 260 at the time was price difference. Now that the 260's have come way down, it's personal preference.

If you are talking about the visiontek 4870, the promo code for that ended yesterday.
btw the promo code dosen't work with the free grid game and i already have grid on my 360.

A stock 4870 is 6% faster than a stock GTX 260 right? Toms review said so.
This model is overclocked, so it's probably faster if not equal in speed. Also, it's memory is 896mb instead of 512mb even if it doesn't matter much now.
I'm talking about quantity, not how fast it is. If you use too much AA/AF and textures, you can run out of video memory on future games or some games at 2560x1600. The memories are about as fast. You obviously do not understand how games work. I know they use GDDR5 with 256-bit vs GDDR3 wit
