I'm looking for an external hard drive solution (250GB +) that can safely be used in a space that is more than 100 degrees Fahrenheit.

I don't think any product off-the-shelf can do that; what you can do though is try to come up with a cooling situation that will keep the disk within proper operating temperatures.

I though most drives can handle high 30s to mid 40s temps(100F-113F).

Just give it a cooling system(large heatsinks work well) to keep it under 140c and it "Should" be fine
