Hi,
Sorry I'm a little bit of a noob here.
I'm wondering if these HDTune tests are ok..
The transfer rate graph seems like it has a lot of dips in it.
I haven't noticed anything like this in people's posted HD benchmarks.
Thanks in advance.

That is fine. Is that a 7200.12?

Yes, it is a 7200.12.

I was thinking about buying some Caviar Blacks and setting up two of them in RAID 0 (mainly to having a reason to tinker and learn something new).

This drive seems to have decent numbers though - comparing them to the Caviar Blacks and other benchmarks I've seen.

Like I said though, I'm a noob. What do I know..

The 7200.12 is a good drive (unlike the .11). There's really no reason to get a caviar black (or two) if you already have a 7200.12, unless you need the extra space.
