new machine gaming < $1000

Hi all,

my current P4 machine is 6 years old, its welcome has been ended.

My need: i want to build a new machine that is under $1000 and can be use for a bit gaming and that can last me another 6 years or so. I dont know much about computer components but I am sure to get a quadcore (q6600) and radeon hd 4850 graphic card. I dont know much about overclocking but am open for it (if it is easy). alright thanks shadow, i'll go with ur suggestion on the RAM, PSU and HDD.

question though. is munskin memory good? the name sounds wierd.

I dont plan to crossfire at all, so i guess the board above is ok?

now am really debating between antec 900 and rc690. antec 900 seems like a nice case with the lights and stuff, but am afraid that it will be a dust collector. anyone has experience with the antec 900 or rc690 please share
