I'm a first time poster here, however i've been a regular Tomshardware reader for a while (reading articles, benchmarks, etc.) and for the last year i've always had one thing on my mind, to get a new computer.
We'll, now is the time and i've been choosing parts, etc, but my main concern is this.
Which motherboard to choose? I want to have SLi because I might be pairing up two 9800GX2's or in the future 3x SLi GTX 280's, etc., so an SLi supported board is favored.
Looking on Newegg, I see two fairly similar boards that are different in price, and other small things.
The Ultra board only has 2x PCI-E 2.0 slots which means if I ever want to go tri-sli, the third card will not get as much power.
But overall, which one is the better motherboard? I don't care about the price that much, as I believe in the better the motherboard, the longer your pc will last, and I believe in you get what you pay for. But honestly, my question right now is, which one is the overall better motherboard?
I appreciate all the feedback, and thanks in advance.
