My Portege R100 has an Intel(R) PRO/Wireless LAN 2100 3B Mini PCI Adapter which is only configurable for WEP. Can anyone tell me if I can upgrade it so that it's configurable for WPA/WPA2, please?
Thanks.

Yes. I have a IBM R40.I just downloaded the new driver from Lenovo. After i manually updated the Wireless LAN driver with a reboot, WPA appears in the Network Authentication. (When i installed the new driver at the first time, windows doesn't prompt me to restart. That's why i updated the driver manually. )

You will have to check with your adapter's manufacturer. As VerLittleJ said, check for a new driver or firmwear download. Since it's a hardware issue, many manufacturers will require that you get the latest version of the wifi adapter.
