Looking for some information is this a good motherboard for this processor Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 LGA775 'Yorkfield' 2.83GHz 12MB-cache (1333FSB)

Also would like to have at least 4gb of ram running on it but not to sure of a good memory to get


Any help would be greatly appreciated

IM using the x38 version of that board. id say it worked just as good as any other motherboard. as far as memory goes im using G.Skill ddr2 800, though since your using an x48 chip, probably better going with a higher speed ram

Carefull if you are using a 4800 card, even the X2. Those DFI boards have some fatal issues with those cards that arent fixed until a BIOS update.

Im using a 4870 and havent had any problems at all. But thats with an x38, not sure about the x48

It's not just DFI, certain X48 boards from other brands are also affected... It's not "Fatal" - The card just doesnt' work until the Buis has been updated. And the updated Bios is freely available from DFI...
