Hp desk jet 3320 printer

Appreciate any help from you all.......
Printer says out of paper when I'm not. Is the sensor just broken or is there other possibilities. I have shut down restarted and made sure the paper is correctly positioned. The printer has worked well for several years before this.

were you able to find a solution? my ole hp3320 sounds as if it will work but won't grab the paper all i get is the error message "device out of paper"
somewhere i saw someone mention "check sensor" how would i do that?

any help would be appreciated

Try hitting the feed button and push the paper down a little into the feeder to see if it grabs it.

No, but when you try to feed the paper manually, does it grab the paper and still say there's no paper? What happens?
