I hear its supposed to be able to go to 950 mhz core and 1200 mhz mem... I wonder if it can reach 1 ghz core and 1250 mem....

I just wonder when it will come out in retail outlets... it looks like it will be awsome... and I don't have the money for a 4870 X2... so the next best thing is a 4870 black edition :D

yeah I will def want the black edition, they said it will be about equal to the GTX 280 or close too in performance, even better some said

It will be about the same as a GTX 280 and if it comes with 1GB of GDDR5 then it will be better at 1920x1200 and at higher resolutions it will smash the GTX 280.

yeah... I don't have the mula for a major upgrade so i'm getting a e8600 when it comes out and OCing it past 4 ghz... and getting the 4870 black edition... its going to be a nice little upgrade to my e6420 and my 8800 gts 640

well I have an e6850 now which is fine for awhile duo core 2 3.0 ghz i can oc to 4 ghz have before and the 4870 black edition

Yeah but how much will it cost? Hopefully ATI knows their bread and butter is in their consideration for consumer wallets. The rumors about it sound promising though. Another thing for nvidia to worry about lol.
