Is furmark enough? What about 3DMark06?

I am currently using Furmark to test my GPU's stability but then I noticed I had a serial that came with my XFX 9600gt that allows me to download a free copy of 3DMark06.
I was wondering if Furmark is good enough or if I should go out of my way to download 3DMark06. I'm a little skeptical though, because my dad doesn't like me downloading big pr grams (and 3DMark is half a gig) because we have repeatedly gone over the limit (before you start bagging me about living with my parents I'm 14 so I'm guessing that's a normal thing). I'm also planning on overclocking my CPU and was wondering if 3DMark06 tests the CPU also. Thanks in advance.

I just found that it's 3DMaarkVantage and not 06, I've already downloaded it, now just to get Windows Vista.
