my friend already has a 600 watt power supply and a nice case. He wants a new computer this is a budget build. 900$ is the max (He lives in Cali so there is tax). He wants to play Age of Conan and other games of the like on full high.

Please only comment on the item listed he has everything else.

If you're using a Q6600, there isn't any point on going P45. Save money and get a good P35 board. Use the money saved to upgrade to a LGA1337 X58 board and Nehalem when it comes out at the end of the year.

Looks fantastic. Think about the above comments, but they really are sort of nitpicky; what you have chosen is great.

The 4870 might be the best option, but I'm not sure what to expect FPS-wise on a 27" screen.
For $900, I doubt you could do much better, though.

The Hegemon could you be a bit more specific about P35 vs P45 please? I don't quite know the specifics of the two chip sets. Also, if you have a good p35 board in mind can you tell my why exactly that board is a better choice?

the comments thus far are very appreciated.

This article may help answer your question: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/intel-p45-chipset,1961.html.

I think I might still go for the P45, but Tom's doesn't seem to like them very much, and Anandtech hasn't published their roundup yet, so it's hard to say.
