The google something like "overclock MSI P45 neo".

Read. Study. Ponder. And you should be able to ask intelligent questions and understand their answers.

thanks, whats with the weird quote "Read. Study. Ponder. And you should be able to ask intelligent questions and understand their answers." :p

I think jsc means that you should do some reading and researching your own question before you come ask. Then, once you've read and learned some things, you can ask more accurate questions rather than "tell me how to OC my PC".

The reason people took the time to write those guides jsc linked to above, is because every single day someone comes here asking how to OC, and it takes a long time to type out to someone every single step and variable there is to OC'ing your CPU and RAM.

i see it from his point , but the comment was rather snidey and unnecessary IE rude

Not my intent to be either snide or rude.

This whole computer hardware business (not just the overclocking) is pretty complex. It takes a fair amount of specialized knowledge - and vocabulary - just to ask questions and understand the answers.

It's complicated by the fact that eVGA, Asus, and Gigabyte all use slightly different terms for the same things. And not all the boards have the same settings available.

And like jerreece said, we get so tired of the same old questions that people ask without doing a bit of research on their own.

I will say that I have been pretty rude twice. Both times, there was no doubt.

And last, I haven't forgotten that we were all "noobs" once.
