Hi, I own a eVGA Geforce 8800 GTS 320MB Superclocked, and I would like to go SLI. The problem is that I can't find a good price on the market for the other one. I bought this card last year at 299$ and now is at 400$... But I did found a eVGA Geforce 8800 GTS 320mb NON-Overclocked Version, that is worth about 150$.
Can I go SLI with both these cards, the Overclocked and the non-overclocked, or will I have lots of conflicts?
I am not entirely sure... but I think that if you run the two together you will end up with a clock equal to the lowest clocked card. That tends to be the case with mutli gpu configs... If you don't overclock the first card and push the second as high as you can you might not experience much loss if you paired together two of the same evga's. Either way it won't be much.
for 200$ you could buy a 9800 GTX or a HD 4850 which will give you better performance.
Anyways, if for some reason you are in love with your gts, put the "non overclocked" card into the second slot, and overclock them both with evga precision - it'll likely work fine.
I'd still say you could get better performance value out of a newer gpu though.
