hi folks

intel badass2 975bx2 running bios from 1-08

since middle of last week, everytime i boot the machine, it gives me the 'the bios has attempted a failed boot attempt' right before the windows xp logo would come up. It forces me to say 'try with current settings or enter bios setup' - if i dont enter bios settings, it just repeats the process.

if I DO enter it, i *must* change a setting or it wont succesffully boot. I can change boot order, hw monitoring, anything - but SOMETHING must be changed or it registers again as a failed boot.

No overclocks set.

Anyone have any idea whats wrong here, and how can i disable the post monitoring? i know the old original bx2 bios' didnt have this enabled - can i successfully revert?

thanks

Have you tried replacing the BIOS back-up battery?
