Does anyone have the experience how to fix a partition? When I insert my USB external hard drive to the computer and try to access the partitions, but windows prompt that I have to reformat it. I cannot do this, as there are many files there, is there a sw that can fix the partition? If there is, how to do? thx

I have successful experience using partition table doctor, see http://www.ptdd.com/do-partition-recovery.htm but it dosn't compatible with Windows 7

Try partition table doctor or active partition recovery, but not free. What's your OS?
