So right now I have a cable box that looks like this:

How and to what card (suggestions? Needs to be PCI) do I hook this up to so I can watch and record TV from my HTPC? I'd like to be able to get all the digital cable channels and the free HD channels.

if you want to record tv from your Motorola digital cable box, then the easiest way would be to use the tri star mx dvr by the same company you linked to show the Motorola digital HD cable box.

once you have the tristar mx dvr, then connect it and press record. it is very simple to use. read here for more info:
