I have a dell 4600c (2.66ghz 256mb ddr, it freezes as soon as i get the dell screen cannot even get to bios but have tried 2 processors and tons of ram and unplugged all that can be unplugged also tried video card instead of onboard also swapped psupply also took out battery and unplugged and hit power to kill cmos and still to no effect anything i have missed please help

If you did not already try it with a disconnected hard drive, try that and see what it does. If still nothing, check the mobo for bulging or leaking capacitors.

hey thanks for reply you were close i finally took the board out and had good look.a BROADCOM CHIP was fried of course that is ethernet so i took my drimel tool and cut into it hoping to cut its shorted insides apart sure enough worked fine afterword but gotta use wireless card or usb adapter for network.thanks again best regards
