How to connect a projector to a computer using a vga cable

You would hook it up the same way you connect a monitor to a computer with a vga cable. Basically just plug in the cable. You can use "Windows Key + P" (assuming Win 7/Vista) to bring up the options to switch between displays if the machine is connected to more then one display device.
