need help selecting a tv tuner.

I was talking to a co-worker a few days ago about how i didnt know what to do with my old computer, but still didnt want to throw it away (im a pack rat ). ANyways he suggested a good idea of turning it into a media center. But i honestly dont know anything about tv tuners so im at your mercy.

The computers specs are
Regular Windows XP home edition
1.8 ghz processor (yea its single core... i said it was old )
1.5gb (not sure on the speeds but you can guess its some what slow)
ati 9800 pro 128mb
and the last thing i can remember is that it has a an35n ultra shuttle mobo. Dont know any of the specs of the mobo off the top of my head.

Oh yea it only has PCI slots, no PCIe.

I mainly just wanna be able to watch cable, record, and being able to pause live tv would be nice too i guess. Dont mind if its usb or internal card. Would really like a remote, but if its worth it, i can go with out one. Only want it to be around $60-$80 but wont go over $100. And it would be nice if it worked after February.... unless it cuts cost significantly.

Im a noob at this stuff so plz help
