Usb not working windows 7

Hello, ive done all that i could including reinstalling my win7 and still the USB ports wont work

check it in bios setting enable all usb ports then save setting and restart.

usb 3.0? you need a driver for that

already did that... no go... reinstall drivers? no go .... disable and uninstall and allow windows to find them? no go... shut down reset the jumper? no go ... reinstall win7? no go... is there anything else short of diving a hammer through my mobo that i can try?

all they all have power but they do not recognize anything that is plugged into them

if your motherboard is under warranty then change it.

I doubt you haven't done this already but you try plugging in other usb device? Also, do you have a multimeter, measure the current and voltage.

Looks like damaged USB ports. Do u have front USB too? Try that.

If out of warranty, u could get PCI USB card....

sry i took so long to answer... i will try the pci card.... ALL ports .. front, back and side. (yes i do have side usb ports)

It always helps if u post basic info, what PC or laptop(which model),motherboard,CPU,how much RAM do u have, what Win 7x64 or x86 u have, USB2 or 3, ......

All these guys want to help u, that's why they are asking questions. There ar lots of possibilities for USB issues. More info helps to localize the problem from post#1.

Start > Right Click On "My Computer"> Manage> Devices Manager> Click on "Universal Bus Controller" > Right Click on USB Hub> "Update Driver Software".
