Alright so I have a motherboard in my computer which has 2 memory slots and theoretically/technically supports 2gb of R.A.M, I was wonder would it be possible by any chance that it would support 3gb of R.A.M???????? Replys and advice would really be appreiciated on this. If you need to know my motherboards basic specs and stuff, just say so and I will post a reply with the specs for you. Thank You.

No if it supports three GB of ram then it would support 4GB. If the specs say 2 GB then it's just 1GB per slot. I could always be wrong, but the odds are against it.

I mean maybe its worth a shot, becuase I saw my kind of ram on ebay 2gb stick costed like $20 which isn't expensive but i dont want to waste it.

And if integrated graphics chip affects this, I dont use it, i have another real videocard working and if power supply affects the amount of ram supported by any chance then it came with I think a 300watt psu but I replaced it with a 500watt psu.

Your Compaq Presario SR2050NX has an ECS RC410-M ATI Xpress 200 motherboard. -> Compaq Presario SR2050NX
The maximum RAM allowed is 2GB (2 x 1GB) of DDR2 533 PC2-4200 RAM.
It's best to get a 2x1GB kit for a matched pair of RAM sticks. You can get a generic set for about $25 or a name brand set for around $40 with shipping

Yeah i thought it will support 2gb since it says that, its just a friend of mine put 3gb onto a 2gb supported motherboard and it working suprisingly.

So I guess it would be not worth it to buy another gig, it wont support it probably?.
