I must apologize about my last thread, it appears that my funds for parts have been cut short so i need some help finding a specific motherboard. Does anyone know a good PCI-Express 2.0 16x motherboard that supports Intel Core 2 Duo with an FSB of 1066MHz, an Intel Chipset, and exceptionally well overclocking capability? Preferably with a single 2.0 16x slot please. Thanks in advance.

Dont ask why ASUS decided to play the "idiot" on their low end P5Q boards and put the ATX 12v power plug on the opposite side of the board between the GPU and CPU.

This is a better solution, cheaper and better layout http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6813128345

Does the Gigabyte board support lower speed DDR2 ram or is it just DDR2 1200? That RAM is a little hard to find as there is only 2 sets available on newegg and both are over 60$.

DDR2 800, 1066 or whatever will work, thats just the board standard. Means nothing really. "Memory Standard" on my P5Q Pro is 1200, I run 1066mhz fine, like I said its nothing really.

Just the board I was gonna recommend. Gigabyte makes awesome boards in this segment. I'm quite happy with my GA-EP35-DS3L... though I was kinda pissed when gigabyte came out with the EP45 3 days after I ordered it :/. Gigabytes Pxx boards have always been known for awesome OC'ing though.
