I got a 9800 gtx. Someone is trying to tell me that the structure is the same as the 8800 card. Is this true. I can get a waterblock designed for the 8800 for my 9800?

Thats a definate maybe. Depends on the card layout. Ask over at Danger Den, ask direct to Jeremy. And there is some forum chatter on it there also.

It depends...a lot of times, even though its the same GPU, etc, they change the die size or even move some of the components to different locations on the cards. Even with similar cards, for example, my GTX260's. When they went to the Core216, it was a die shrink, they moved the RAM a little and some of the resistors/capacitors are different or not there completely.
