are the 4 sticks of 1 gig, if that is the case, with a quad core phenom it will not run at 1066 but at 800 I beleive, I do not know why I just read that a while back.

Press delete when you boot to enter your BIOS. Select the Cell Menu option. Go down to the FSB/Memory Ratio selection and change the value from auto to 1:2.66 , your adjusted DDR Memory Frequency is now set to 1066. That should do the trick for you. Reboot and you're set. Hope this helps and good luck.

BTW. Quad core Phenoms run four 1 gig sticks at 1066 just fine. I'm running four 1 gig sticks of Kingston Hyper X at 1066 without a hitch with my 9850BE on my MSI K9a2 platinum board with the proc. OC'd to 2.9 stable on air. Hope this helps.

Hmm.strange.thats how i have mine set and it works like a charm.Might be a direct problem with the RAM. Try running with one 2 gig stick at those same settings and let us know the result, If one doesn't work, try the other. Keep us posted

One more thing.have you updated the bios to the latest version? if not , try using MSI liveupdate.

Only settings i changed were the one i mentioned above and the multiplier setting to get to 2.9 ghz. It is either 14.5 or 15, can't recall without rebooting.lol. Everything else is stock

System boots and quickly. I'm running Vista home premium on this machine and i like it, And actually prefer it to my other two pc's running XP pro.I don't have cpu-z installed but it shouldnt take me long to go find it and install

I have the same board and same ram as you do. The problem is that the memory is ECC and the board doesn't support it. I can boot into my os but its unstable.
