Well I finally got a successful overclock on my Q6600 to 3.0 with a Vcore of 1.2685 and get through 24 hours of prime 95. So i am in an overclocking mood and I overclock my graphics card (4850) and I play me a little mass effect. Well I stopped after a bit, and shut down my system. I come back later and boot it up and 15 seconds after it gets into windows it BSODS. I do this about 3 times. Then set everything back to defaults and it is still doing it. Do i need to reinstall vista? I need some thoughts on this.

Solution
When you overclocked it did you set it so it would re-apply your settings everytime windows starts?

If so then thats your problem, the overclock wasnt stable and the video drivers are crashing every time you boot.

try starting in safe mode then reseting the video card overclock
