Yesterday I started into the realm of overclocking my PC. When overclocking my cpu to 3.2ghz I seemed to hit a wall. The graphic drivers seemed to freeze up when loading the desktop and I got a BSOD one time.

System Specs:
q9550 core 2 quad 2.8ghz
nvidia gtx 260
4g ddr 1333 gskill

After doing some research it seemed like I wasn't able to run my memory with a 1:1 ratio with my cpu because the mghz already matched up to 333 of the cpu and memory. Does this meen I have to change the ratio of my memory so I can overclock? And if so, what do these ratio's meen?

Thx for your help,
Chris

I changed the memory to unlinked and made it so the front bus was running at 3.2ghz and when I restarted my PC it wouldn't post. Is this a issue because of my memory only being able to support 333mhz and below? It seems like if I had 400mhz memory that would be my ceiling.
