Hello, I looked through this thread to see if I could find anything relating to the same kind of problem, but could only find things somewhat similar, but not exact. Well heres what I'm working with

Mobo: Asus Striker II Formula, bios 1602
Procsr: Q9450
Ram: Mushkin XP2-8500(996535) 5-5-4-12 1066Mhz 2.2-2.35V
PSU: Antec 1000W Quattro
Gphx: GTX 260
OS: Vista 32bit

Okay, so this has been kind of a long going problem that I've had for about a month and it basically starts with the computer not restarting under any circumstances. I get no video on screen after a restart, whether its from restarting the computer from within the OS, or whether im in BIOS changing something, it just won't restart. I have to clear CMOS to get it to post again, in which if I restart at any time it does it all over again. I am at the moment using complete auto settings in bios, because from what I've tried to change, such as the timings on the ram, it doesn't help my situation.

If anyone knows of a solution possibly, or a thread that I have not seen that related to this type of problem, could you please let me know.
Thanks

what message is on the little display show? you know the diagnostic blue led screen that tells you the prgress of your systems post?

i have the same Mobo.. and im testing the same processor and have been having issues with the machine not rebooting getting stuck at "usb init" stage on my display. but i tracked it down to the overclocking i was trying.

is the issue happening even without Any OC settings? have you tested with just one stick of ram then try that ram in different slots to try weed out a hardware issue?

If i go into bios then restart, the LCD just says ENT SETUP and if i go into windows it just shows the time.

There are no OC settings at the moment, and with 1 stick of ram.

Anyone else with some thoughts?
