I have 6 WD 320GB HDD in a Linux PC which I now want to use as single drives. The Linux PC is not working and I cannot mount or format the drives for XP or for MAC.
Any ideas

I think the WD website has a utility suite called "data lifeguard" that will run diagnostics or format your WD drives.

Run Active Kill Disk or DBan. Better yet, download UBCD which (IIRC) contains both DBan and Kill Disk.

I don't see any reason why XP wouldn't be able to re-partition and format the drives.

The OP doesn't say so, but i guess the six drives were in a (software?) RAID configuration?
