Question about EP35-DS3R

Hello, i am soon going to upgrade my computer, i am going to add E8500,EP35-DS3L and G.skill gaming kit ddr2 800mhz 2GB.

I now have

A8n-e socket 939
Amd 3800 dual core
2GB ddr1 Memory
Tagan 480 V
9600GT PCI 2.0 from Gigabyte

My question is that if my motherboard is not PCI-e 2.0 would it use all of the abilities that my video card has to offer?

Yes, no need to worry about that especially with a lower range card.
