Hello there

I have purchased an Asus P5E-VM HDMI motherboard and i am facing problems with resolution.
The motherboard's HDMI is back to back connected with the TV's HDMI (LCD Samsung LE40F86).
When the windows (Vista home premium 64) start's up the resolution is 1776x1000 and there is a
ballon indicating that the resolution should be at 1920x1080. When i am changing the resolution
to 1920x1080 the windows are huge and bigger from TV frame. I have download the latest drivers
from Intel but the problem remains.

Any ideas?

Regards

Antonis.

What you have to do is set the res to 1920x1080, then restart the computer. This will allow the tv to adjust to the resolution on boot.

If this does not work, switch your tv to a mode other than hdmi, then back. It should auto ajust to the res of the screen.
