More Information

This is my first time building a PC from scratch. I have upgraded PC's in the past, but never fully put one together. I will be using this computer for gaming... the games I am planning to play are Warhammer Online, Starcraft 2, and Diablo 3.

I realize many others have posted their situations, so I have tried to learn from those, but I want to make sure I'm making the right decisions for myself.

Here is my planned build so far (I want to be building early-mid August):

CPU: Q9450 (Q9550 if the price drops soon?) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6819115042
ZALMAN CNPS9700 LED 110mm 2 Ball CPU Cooler - Retail http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6835118019
Mobo: Gigabyte X48 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6813128331
Vid card: ATI HD 4870 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6814102748
OS: Vista Ultimate 64-bit
RAM: mushkin 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory - Retail http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6820146726
DVD/CD Burner: LiteOn (SATA) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6827106263
Case: Antec P182 Gun Metal Black 0.8mm cold rolled steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - Retail http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6811129025
Power supply: PC Power and Cooling 750w http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6817703009
Hard drive: Western Digital Caviar SE16 WD6400AAKS 640GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive - OEM http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6822136218

Still wanting to find:
Monitor: I want an LCD 22-24" running at 1920x1200
Additional fans: ??? (would these be needed?)

Everything else I don't really know what would be a good choice. My plans are to overclock the cpu to around 3ghz at some point and leave the option there to use Crossfire for the video card. Is the motherboard I have good for what I'm planning? From reading a lot of posts, I can tell there are many quality members here, so please help me if you can. I appreciate it!

EDITED:
Updated my choices.

case can be antec 900, p182, antec 1200, sound card not needed IMO as the mobo has onboard sound, if you plan to overclock the cpu, get a decent cpu cooler.

Thanks for the above suggestions. I didn't really even look at what was onboard haha.

I updated my choices for most everything. The others I will look into more tomorrow and update. If anyone has anything to add/comment, please do so.

Good HD choice, bigger than what you said, but fast and a good price

Everything looks good. The PSU is a little overkill but will leave you plenty of room for upgrades.
